United States of America
|
Growing up in Excelsior Springs, Mo in the United States has been awesome and I wouldn't have wanted to be raised any other way. I was raised out in the country where you would run outside barefoot and take the risk of stepping on a spur-weed, and where you had better be home for dinner by the time the street lights had turned on. I have traveled to Kansas, Arkansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Texas and tasted all different kinds of amazing food in our glamorous country. |
My favorite food is a savory juicy steak
I like my steak preferably medium well, but I am not picky when it comes to steak. Steak is a fairly healthy option, for every 3 oz of steak their is typically 179 calories but 7.6 grams of fat. While it is high in cholesterol and saturated fat, steak is a great source of protein and full of vitamins.
Delicious, mouth-watering miscellaneous mayhem
On February 6th, I stopped at the Diddly Bops kitchen on the corner of Mercer St. just south of the famous worldwide known Tiger Stadium for a breakfast that would blow my mind. It was around 7:30 and I had hoped I made it in time to beat the breakfast rush but I hadn’t, they were packed. I took a seat nearly 30 minutes after my arrival time and the service was impeccable, waiters and waitresses rushed in and out of the kitchen presenting many different plates that looked scrumptious. Finally, when a waitress came to me, without taking a second glance at the menu I knew exactly what I wanted. I ordered the cooks special, miscellaneous mayhem, the only description it gave was “The right amount of saltiness, mixed with the perfect sweetness.”
When the plate was presented in front of me my mouth became wet from desire to eat every last bit that sat there. There was a golden egg fried to perfection, alongside beautifully cooked hash browns sprinkled with light salt and pepper, and then finally a small slice of monkey bread that had been cooked to the slightest golden brown. The salt of the egg and hash browns had blended perfectly with the delicious monkey bread.
Overall, my experience at the diddly bops kitchen was very exceptional, it was an amazing cultural and appetizing food. Although the monkey bread was a little doughy in the middle of it, making it hard to enjoy the fullest. I will definitely stop in here again to try more cooks specials.

MyPlate was designed to help Americans find a healthy eating style that is adaptable and maintainable. People of all ages struggle with obesity every day and no one had done nothing to do about it, other than telling them to eat healthier. When Myplate was designed it was constructed to help change patterns at a young age, such as when they served breakfast and lunch they constructed meals based on the MyPlate.
